The orthopaedics department at Vimhans provides technologically advanced management of the entire spectrum of bone related disorders. Apart from routine surgeries, The department is equipped to handle all traumas, incl spine fixations, Total/partial hip and knee surgeries, surgeries for TB spine, congenital malformations, complex deformities, limb length discrepancies and all spinal disorders.
Spinal Disorders
A wide range of delicate spinal surgeries, such as those required for fractures of the spine, infections, and tumours are handled with a high degree of success. It provides comprehensive management of spinal diseases. Special thrust is on Tuberculosis of Spine and Geriatric spinal surgery.
Bone and Soft Tissue Surgery
Including limb salvage surgery is done in appropriate cases. Services are provided by highly motivated and trained professionals in the field of congenital abnormalities, limb lengthening and limb deformities.
Complex Deformities and Limb Length Discrepancies
These are treated by Illizarov and other techniques. Joint replacement and arthroscopy are available for selected clients.
